My Husband Cheated With My Best Friend After I Let Her Move Into Our Home
Betrayal is not what most people think comes from strangers, but it comes from your loved ones, and those whom you trust the most betrayed you at a moment when you would never have expected or imagined.
It's the story of a Maya who helped her best friend Ellie during a hard time when she needed somewhere to live. Instead, she eventually discovered that the woman she trusted most had slept with her husband inside her own home.
Ellie was someone she had previously helped escape an abusive relationship and had known each other for a long time, and Maya's husband, John, was already unfaithful online during their marriage.

She Thought Her Best Friend Was Someone She Could Trust

She relied on this woman during difficult periods, and she truly believed that their friendship and connection between them was usually strong and unbreakable.

She described having a vision during sleep in which she believed she was with her friend during a miscarriage. She says she could sense her friend's pain and felt overwhelming love for her.
Then she woke at 2:01 AM, and within a few minutes Ellie called her. Maya heard her voice, and she could feel the pain in her voice, and it was the experience she said that she could hear all of her thoughts, her feelings, and even feel her physical pain.
Before Ellie could say anything, Maya just said that "I knew what had happened, and I was sorry".

Her Marriage Had Already Been Falling Apart
Maya and John met in their 20s. She moved across the country to be with him. They were together for 11 years and married for nine. Their marriage has started to develop some serious problems, as she felt that she wasn't getting a true partner at home, not because he doesn't work, doesn't give her time, or doesn't support her, but because after work or in his free time, he always plays video games or sleeps most of the time.
And because John was busy playing video games all day and sleeping most of the time, Maya was responsible for most household and parenting duties, and she holds 80% of the burden alone without her husband's help.
She says he had repeatedly cheated on her with other women online throughout the marriage. He keeps talking with other women and even meets them, and Maya knows all that, but she was compromising all that because of her kids.
She Says She Carried Most of the Family Responsibilities
She says that not just she handle the household and kids' duties, but also other things that John should have done, like plumbing, yard work, picking up and dropping off the kids, cooking, cleaning, groceries, and raising the kids, while their father was playing video games and talking with other women online. She even said that she repeatedly asked her husband for what she considered the bare minimum of partnership.

She even claimed she had effectively raised the children and tried to portray Maya as a "psycho".
Ellie read all her private journals and diaries without her permission and even read those journals with her young niece.
Maya also says that Ellie did so much more than all of this, but these were some of the incidents and bad memories of her best friend that stayed with her.
Neither of Them Seemed Sorry for What They Did
After all this, Maya says that neither her husband nor her former friend expressed any kind of regret or sorry. They both clearly were not sorry for having an affair at all.
But Maya points out one thing: they were sorry that the affair happened at the wrong time and in the wrong place, rather than sorry for the betrayal itself.

She Kicked Her Best Friend Out—But Didn't Completely Walk Away From Her Husband
